This building is located in Compostela’s most emblematic square, Plaza del Obradoiro, bordered by Santiago Cathedral, the University and Pazo de Raxoi.
Considered one of the “Paradores” network’s most outstanding jewels and thought to be the oldest hotel in the world, it was built by the Catholic Monarchs as a pilgrim hospital in 1499. Its Gothic, Renaissance and baroque design make it a very interesting monument, along with its 4 cloisters.
The Parador features elegant lounges, spectacular rooms and a dining hall that offers the typical fish, seafood and meat dishes and desserts of Galicia’s gastronomy. There is also a restaurant-inn in the basement.

Es un hotel único, con un emplazamiento inmejorable. Es un parador nacional de primer nivel. Solo por esto ya merece la pena. Pasear por sus claustros es algo fuera de serie y las habitaciones son amplias y confortables. |

Estaba lloviendo fuera y los 2 porteros que había ni nos ayudaron con un paraguas a bajar las maletas, se quedaron en la puerta mirando. No lo entendimos. |

lugar increible. Respiras historia por todos lados. Salir por la puerta y ver esa plaza del Obradoiro ... un privilegio. No hay muchas plazas así en el mundo. Yo no las conozco y que tengan un hotel de esta categoría en ella menos. |
